American History Timeline Activity 12/9

1. Go to the Timeline website. This link will take you to the Timeline website!

2. Fill in "Your Name" with your first and last name.

3. Fill in "Project Title" with "American Imperialism."

4. Click "Start!"

5. Now you will fill in your timeline with the information you have researched.

     a) Find the event in your packet which you placed a "1" next to.
     b) Click on the timeline (left side).
     c) Fill in each box with the information from your packet.

• Label: ex. "Purchase of Alaska"
• Short Description: ex. "Alaska is purchased from Russia for only $7.2 million."
• Long Description: Type the full description which you have written in your packet.

     d) Add a picture! Under the heading "Optional Image:" click on the "Choose Image" box.

• You will need to add a picture to AT LEAST 3 of the events on your timeline.
• You may do more than 3 if you would like.

     e) When you are finished, click on the check mark.

6. Repeat 1-5 with the rest of the events (2-11) in your packet!

Tips: Be sure to use correct grammar and spelling. Write in complete sentences, and make sure your timeline looks neat and organized!

Remember to save your work! Save as "Timeline_LastName" to the Y Drive.
When you are COMPLETELY FINISHED, print your timeline.
